May 26, 2012: Oriole Park Public School's Mayfair

It's time for Mayfair 2012! - Oriole Park Public School's Annual Fun Fair.

Join us on Saturday, May 26th between 11am and 3pm at Oriole Park Public School, located at 80 Braemar Avenue.

Admission is FREE: Bring your friends and family to Oriole Park School's 51st Annual Mayfair! There will be inflatable rides, carnival games, a fantastic Silent Auction, BBQ and bake sale, and much, much more!!

All proceeds go toward enriching childhood education at Oriole Park School.

Visit the Oriole Park Association booth for your CHANCE TO WIN exciting prizes! and learn more about our activities in our community. Look for our display near the schools main doors. Members of the executive will be on hand to answer your questions, and update you on recent developments in the neighbourhood. They will also be giving out free popsicles to the kids.


May 17, 22 and 24, 2012: Eglinton-Scarborough Crosstown Planning Study Consultation Meetings

Over the next two years, the City of Toronto will undertake a comprehensive planning study of the Eglinton Avenue corridor to create a community-led vision that will help to anticipate future growth and redevelopment along the corridor. The study is being led by City Planning staff and will be completed with the financial support of Metrolinx, the regional transportation agency of the Province of Ontario.

City Planning staff is holding three Community Consultation Meetings to introduce the objectives of the study, discuss guiding principles and provide an opportunity for the community to provide feedback.

Thursday, May 17 - Fairbank Memorial Community Centre: 2213 Dufferin Street (south of Eglinton Ave. West)
Tuesday, May 22 - The Hub at Victoria Village: 1527 Victoria Park Avenue (north of Eglinton Ave. East)
Thursday, May 24 - Northern District Library: 40 Orchard View Blvd. (northwest of Yonge Street and Eglinton Ave. West)

All meetings begin at 7pm and end at 9pm.

April and May, 2012: Eglinton Environmental Assessment Initial Public Meetings

The City of Toronto will be undertaking a full Environmental Assessment (EA) over the "underground LRT" section of Eglinton, from Black Creek Dr to Brentcliffe Rd (near Leslie)! This environmental assessment will cover the reconfiguration of the Eglinton surface street, including a discussion of bike lanes, realigning traffic lanes, intersection layouts, pedestrian crossings, and connections to off-road trails. Put these dates in your calendar:
